About The Role

The R&D Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing product innovation and renovation projects within strict deadlines and budgets. This includes mobilizing resources, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring that performance and specifications are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects for the development of new products or enhancements from feasibility studies through the full design process.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to define objectives for product development or enhancement.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Execute and oversee development activities in alignment with company procedures, particularly Design Control processes.
  • Drive technical achievement, quality, cost management, and timely delivery through effective leadership.
  • Facilitate and enforce decision-making within the project team to ensure objectives are met.
  • Prepare and present decisions and progress reports to review committees.
  • For customer-specific projects: analyze specifications, assess feasibility and costs, and manage integration with customers.
  • Adapt to company needs by undertaking other tasks aligned with your expertise.

Essentials Duties and Responsabilities

Proven expertise in technical project management, particularly in micro-mechanical systems (medical devices a plus).
Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in execution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership.
Advanced IT proficiency and budget control skills.
Solid business acumen with a focus on technical project delivery.
Deep understanding of technical concepts and ability to drive innovation.

Experience

Master’s degree in microengineering or a related field.
5–10 years of experience managing technical projects in micro-mechanical systems, ideally in medical devices.
Fluency in French and English, written and spoken.
Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR regulations, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 QSR standards is an advantage.
Certified in Project Management methodologies (Prince2 Practitioner, PMP, or IPMA Level B).
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Passion for product enhancement, with strong organizational skills and initiative.
