What inspired you to join DIXI medical and take on the VP Sales role in the US?
I was inspired to join DIXI Medical because of the team I met during the interview process,  I was also excited to return to the epilepsy space,  and to help patients with drug-resistant epilepsy make informed decisions about their care.

Can you share a pivotal moment in your career that shaped your approach to sales leadership?
A pivotal moment in my career that shaped my leadership style was figuring out how to be authentically me. Early on in management, I would bounce ideas off a mentor and found myself relaying it back to my team in his style. Once I converted the conversation into my style and it became a reflection of me, my team bought into the ideas more readily because they could tell it was from me.

What’s been your most rewarding challenge in the medical device industry so far?
My most rewarding challenge in the medical industry has been bringing products or therapies to patients in need. Being able to provide solutions for patients with often inexplicable conditions is extremely important and motivating.

How would you describe your leadership style, especially when building a sales team?
My leadership style is a combination of transparency, effective communication, integrity, accountability and execution.

Have you worked with European teams before? What do you find most interesting or different about cross-continental collaboration?
I have worked in a limited capacity with European companies and am looking forward to the collaboration and learning from this new team.

When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing to recharge? Any hobbies or passions outside of the medical world?
When not working, I love to travel, boat, ski and play tennis.

Have you had a chance to explore Europe yet? Any favorite places or destinations on your travel wishlist?
Yes, I have explored some of Europe – Spain, Italy, France, Germany, England, Amsterdam, Budapest and Prague. On the bucket list – Switzerland, Croatia and Greece.
